Creating my 30 before 30 list….

Its a sad day to realize that I’m (gasp!) 29!  Holy crap…when did that happen!  I thought I would be so much farther along in life by now but stepping back I have done some decent things in the past 12 years since I graduated high school and embarked on my own.  Just to remind myself (not you) here is what I’ve come up with.

1 – Received 3 college degrees (Associates in Marketing 2003, Bachelors in Marketing 2006, and MBA-International Business 2010) …. Hello Student Loans 🙂

2-Become involved in one of the most rewarding organizations.  I pledged Delta Sigma Pi as a shy and lonely college transfer who was seeking interaction and friends in a new town.  I pledged in 2003 and graduated in 2006.  For many students that is the end of the line for their involvement.  I, however, was anxious to stay involved in something that gave me so much.  In 2009 I became a district director to continue my involvement with my former chapter.  It was an interesting road but I have had the honor of watching students evolve into young professionals that now have a spectacular future ahead of them.  I have met outstanding fellow alumni brothers who encourage me to keep pushing myself, mentor me, and are also my friends.

3-Started my own business.  Jen K Design was on my mind for a few years before I decided to take a giant leap of faith to see what would happen.  Well to be honest – at first – nothing.  I knew it would take a lot of work (I didn’t fully realize how much), and dedication to keep going.  Some days are better than others but I have a fabulous job that allows me to express my creativity and encourages me to follow my dream…as long as I can stay with them at the same time! 🙂

4-Share my love of photography with the world (well friends, family, and any random people that find me via facebook & web)

See my link above for my list that will be added to until I hit 30 or maybe more… 🙂
