Review: Boscia Detoxifying Black Cleanser

Hello Lovlies!  Today’s post is about a new product I’ve been trying for about three weeks now.  I have combo oily/dry skin and have been battling my face the past few months with dry patches.  It would appear that my tried and true Biore had been failing me.  I used up my bottle and went on a quest to re-vamp my routine.  I have got back to using my Nutrasonic facebrush  (which is similar to a Clarisonic but much cheaper and about five years old now) twice a day for a minute or two.  (I’m having a hard time tracking down heads for it – please comment if you know where I can find some!)  I had been thinking about trying this cleanser for a while now since I LOVE their Luminizing Black Mask.

First some details for you:

Boscia Detoxifying Black Cleanser $28.00

What it is:
A warming gel cleanser that deeply cleans and detoxifies the complexion.

What it is formulated to do:
This black cleanser heats up on contact with skin to effectively open and de-clog pores. Its gel texture transforms into a gentle and effective lather to dissolve oil and makeup, rinsing away pore-clogging surface debris, impurities, and excess oil. It refines skin texture, brightens skin clarity, and minimizes the look of pores over time.

What it is formulated WITHOUT:
– Parabens – Sulfates – Synthetic Fragrances – Synthetic Dyes – Petrochemicals – Phthalates – GMOs – Triclosan

My Thoughts:

First, it doesn’t lather a lot like some products because its sulfate free.   I use about half a pump, and work it in my fingers to distribute it between my hands.  It feels warming in my hands but I don’t seem to notice it on my face.   I then wet my fingers and work the remaining soap into a bit of a lather, and then apply to my face once more.  This creates a little bit of a lather but not much.  Finally I finish with using my nutrasonic for about a minute and then rinse.

After rinsing my face feels clean and super soft and brighter.  After a couple weeks I have not had any break outs, and my skin is looking pretty good! This could also be from using my nutrasonic again but I’m loving the results. I follow up with a face serum that now just seeps right into my skin instead of taking a minute or two to “soak” in.

There is a slight clean, almost herbal scent but it isn’t noticeable to me like scents can be in some cleansers.    I would totally recommend this!  I love everything about it!

Thank you for stopping by Gracious Luck today!  Have you tried any new cleansers lately?  What is your favorite?  I love reading about what works for you!
