Hi Lovelies! I’ve been eyeing subscription boxes for a few years now but never took the plunge…until now. For me, its always seemed like a waste of money for “samples” but I’ve been seeing reviews for a graze box floating around and was interested.
The basics –
You get 4 portion controlled snacks in every box. You can get the nibble box (I got this one) which is a selection of the company’s over 90 choices. Or you can opt in for the calorie counter box where each serving is 50-150 calories but limited to around 50 choices.
Its $6 – and you can get it every 2 weeks or every 4 weeks. If you click through my link, you can get your first box for free to try and if you don’t like it – it seems easy enough to cancel your subscription online which is a huge plus. Many of these you have to cancel over the phone which can be a bit of a hassle and the reps work their hardest to keep you subscribed.
First impression was…its kinda small. Each serving pack is about the size of a deck of cards. I’m not sure what I was expecting but I was hoping the portions would be a little bigger. It comes in an adorable box that could be kept for gifting since its a nice size but small and lightweight. I would say the serving size reminds me of the 100 calorie packs you can buy at Target or Walmart.
My selection & thoughts on the flavors:
The Cheese Board (cheese cashews, baked herb bites and salsa corn sticks)
It was a good mix, a little spicy but also dull at the same time. My favorite part was the herb crackers (I’m a carb additct!) and the cheese cashews. The salsa corn sticks were meh. It was like a tiny spicy frito chip cut into strips. I picked up on the spice immediately but once you bite into it, its just a plain ole corn stick. I would have liked it if the spice was throughout the chip or stronger.
raspberry and coconut muffin (amaretti drops, raspberry infused cranberries, almond slices and coconut flakes)
I had high hopes for this but it was alright. I definitely lean towards more savory snacks than ones like this but I wanted to give it a try. The dried raspberry cranberries were good, but there were a lot of coconut and almond slivers which I sort of got tired of munching on.
Sour Cream & Onion Cashews
I love onion flavor in things and this is probably the package I was most excited to try. It does have an onion bite but I really like the flavor and I already love cashews so this was perfect. It was easy to munch on but beware it could leave you with some potent onion breath!
My Thai ( sweet chili sauce & baked soy bites)
The sweet sauce is pleasant and has a little heat as it hits the back of your mouth. I’m really surprised at how much I like this one. It wasn’t as much spicy as much as it was simply “warm.” The soy bites (basically puffs?) didn’t have any taste but did add a nice crunch once you dipped them in the sauce.
Bottom Line…would I recommend this? Will I continue it?!
I think I’ll give it another month. I like the idea of portion controlled snacks that are better for me than a sack of chips or candy or chocolate. I did eat them right away so I could form an opinion and write this review. I think I’ll spread them out next time and leave my subscription on every 4 weeks instead of 2.
If you’d like to try your own graze box for free – click the link below! Also – if you stay subscribed, you get your fifth box free too so if you spread the cost of three against the two free it boils down to $3.60 a box (shipping included). *NOTE- you do have to provide your credit card info so the subscription starts a couple weeks after you get your first box, but if you get it and don’t like it – cancel before your next shipment is planned. (Once you make an account, you can make adjustments under your name and then click on “your deliveries” to change shipping dates, package style, or to cancel.)
Thanks for stopping by Gracious Luck today!
