Hi Lovelies! I was playing around with Clinique’s Neutral Territory palette and came up with a look I wanted to share. It is based mostly around their famous Black Honey Shade (#1 in the picture). Black Honey got its cult following their lip line years ago, but lately they have brought into eye shadow form.
To begin, I did prime my eye lids with a primer to lock in the look. (I have oily eye lids so a primer is a must if I want anything to last.) *Quick Tip-I’ve learned that the cream eye shadows also crease on my oily lids, BUT if I use a primer, cream shadow, and then my look – it isn’t going anywhere!*
Next, I took Black Honey (#1) and packed it all over the lid. Its hard to tell but it comes off as a beautiful coppery brown color that looks ah-mazing with brown eyes and it really brought out the green flecks that I have in mine.
After working that in, I took Hazy (#2) and worked it into the outer “v” and bottom half of my crease. Then I used the brown shade of polar blue quad (#3) in my crease and worked it more towards my brow bone but kept it in the top of the crease, and last used the light shade of day into date duo (#4) to transition to my brow bone. I did take the lightest shade (sugar cane) and added just a hint of that right along the bottom of my brow for an extra highlight. I ended the look with black liquid eye liner and a slight wing that I then topped with a bit more black honey to sort of smudge/blend it with the look. (I don’t think that was necessary but I like blended looks better than bold lines for my eyes.) I also took a bit of Hazy (#2) along the bottom lash line.
I finished the look with Rimmel’s Scandaleyes Retro Glam Mascara in black and Clinique’s Bottom Lash Mascara in brown.
Since its on the milder side, I think this could go day or night depending on what you had going on, or what you were wearing. I’m really loving this Clinique Palette and will be playing with some more looks soon!
Thanks for stopping by Gracious Luck today!
