Nature’s Bounty Optimal Solutions Hair, Skin, & Nails { review }

Hi Loves! Some of you may remember that this winter I had a couple posts talking about my dry skin and splitting, thin nails. This has baffled me because this was a first for me. I’ve always had nice strong nails, to have them barely making it past my finger tip without breaking was a big issue….and…a little depressing! 🙂

I tried various nail & cuticle products to help rescue them and it may have helped a little – but not that much. Around February I started seeing this product being advertised and knew a lot of bloggers & vloggers recommend biotin to help with nails so figured I’d give it a shot.

I have taken both the Extra Strength Capsuls, and the Gummies. *Disclaimer – I was sent the gummies by Smiley360 to try for free – I only purchased the extra strength myself.* After about three weeks of taking the extra strength, and then a month of taking the gummies only – I can honestly say my nails are coming back to their old self! They are thicker & stronger than they’ve been for months.

Now – time for some details from Natures Bounty about the Gummies.

Optimal Solutions Hair-Skin and Nails – 120 Gummies (2-4 per day) $11.99

Bottom Line —

These are a buy for me AND unlike some gummies – these taste really great!! My boss said they reminded her of strawberry candy!   However, I can’t really say if my skin & hair are improved.  My face is clearing and bright but that could be the changing season and getting rid of the dry winter air.  I can honestly say that I did see a pretty big change in the quality of my nails.   I kind of wished I had taken a before picture of my nails to show you the difference but unfortunately I didn’t.  My problem was changing out my polish a lot and using acetone on my nails – I’ve since quit that and gone back to a more gentle nail polish remover as well as using cuticle oil and a good hand lotion.  I think a combination of all of those have helped improve my nails.

These may not work for every one – I’ve tried things like this in the past that had glowing recommendations and were just a waste of time and money for me.  I can tell you – I like the results that I’m getting and will finish my bottle of gummies in a couple days and then go back to taking the capsules and then…probably buy more!

Have you tried these or taken biotin to help your skin & nails?

Thanks for dropping by Gracious Luck today!

  1. Wow, your nails are GORGEOUS! I wish I could get mine that long, i will defiantly start taking these! Thanks for the review 🙂

  2. I got these from Smiley360 as well! I’m a huge advocate of biotin already, but taking them in a gummy form is more fun! I have had great nail growth and my skin is clearing up ( also not sure if thats the gummy or the weather/ skin care routine change)
