GL Gets Fit {weekly update #2}

I will do this routine before every shower: 50 jumping jacks, 5 pushups, 20 crunches, 20 mountain climbers, and 30 second plank.Hi Loves!  Week two – I’m maintaing and only worked out two days last week.  I’m not going to lie or sugar coat it, but I have worked on having better snacks around – lately I’ve been on an apple kick so have at least one a day.  I love snacking on fresh fruit and it takes care of my “sweet” cravings.   Now I need to get back into working out on a daily basis.  Its hard with a roommate in a small apartment but I’m working on it!

Plank Challenge Week 2 is in the books!  I’m shocked to say that I can tell my endurance is improving with the plank and last week had a yoga mat burn on my elbow!  (sad but true!)  I’ve also worked my way up to 90 seconds.  Wednesday – I increase to 2 minutes.  Yikes!  considering 2 weeks ago I struggled with 20 seconds I’m really amazed at how things are going.  I hope to keep up the momentum and have been noticing some subtle changes despite not “losing” weight.  For example – every few weeks I track my measurements and I’ve seen some changes on that front so I’ll take it!  At the end of my plank challenge in a couple weeks I’ll share if I lost any “inches” with you since my June 10 weigh in at the doctors office that was a big red flag for me.  Hopefully I’ll be getting into losing some more pounds also!

Last – I’ve noticed that my morning weigh in helps me keep on track and inspire me to make better choices throughout the day.
