I’m amazed I’ve kept this going for that long!  Honestly- exercise, getting healthier, all of that usually goes well for a couple weeks and then I’m on to something else.  (Thanks for sticking along for the journey by the way!)

Back Challege update – I’ve in the 3rd week of it, and the reps are getting much higher for reverse flys, bridges, rows, and the wonderful superman is now over a minute!  I initially started with 5lb weights in each hand for the exercises but couldn’t make it to 40+ reps doing the flys with out getting awful form and straining muscles that are already sensitive.

So I modified the routine a little. Now that I’m into the higher reps, I’ve gone to my hand weights for the flys which are each a pound, but let me tell you…once I hit 45 reps with one pound in each hand, I can feel it! 🙂  I am trying to keep going at a good pace to keep my heart rate up and blood pumping as opposed to taking it slow and a bit at a time.  I’m still using my 5lb weights in each hand for my bridge pull overs and the rows – I LOVE the feeling of those muscles being worked.  PLUS – I’m feeling definition in my shoulders and under arms…which I love!  They still might be flappy but dang it if I’m going to have big arms all my life the might as well be solid or close to it in muscle!

The superman is still a love/hate exercise for me.  I love knowing I can do it, but I also know I’m struggling towards the end now – but I’ll keep trying! 🙂

Weight wise – I’m at a new low, while its not much – I’ve been waiting to see that number for a long time! I also know that weight fluctuates a lot so I’m still sticking to my tried & true measurement test.  I do those monthly – I’ll let you know at the end of the back challenge where I’m at with that!

Lastly – I’ve been reading and learning a lot about working towards healthier eating and clean eating.  I find it really fascinating, I’m not going to preach and I’m not a nutritionist but I’m trying to revamp some of the things I’m eating.  When you’re used to junk food…its really hard!!  I’ve also had the opportunity to try some really great bars that I’m going to write a review about – if you’re looking for a good snack – stay tuned!
