5-Hour Energy Limited Edition Pink Lemonade { review }

Hi Loves!  October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month – and my family has been impacted by this horrible disease.  My aunt just finished her last radiation treatment a couple weeks ago in treating her breast cancer and kicking its butt!  When Smiley360 invited me to this “mission” I jumped at the opportunity to help promote a product that will contribute to fighting breast cancer.

Disclaimer – I was sent this for free to try and share my thoughts with you – I did not purchase this product.

First Up – Here’s some details about the energy drink and how they’ll be helping in the fight against breast cancer.

The makers of 5-hour ENERGY® products team up with the Living Beyond Breast Cancer organization this breast cancer awareness month. LBBC helps to support and educate people about breast cancer.

Now through December 31, 2014, Living Essentials will donate five cents from the sale of every specially marked bottle of Pink Lemonade flavored 5-hour ENERGY® to Living Beyond Breast Cancer. LBBC is a nonprofit organization dedicated to connecting people with trusted breast cancer information and a community of support. The minimum guaranteed donation is $200,000.00. Just look for the white 5-hour ENERGY® bottle with the pink ribbon and you can help make a difference today!

When you need a boost you don’t want to wait. You want to feel more energetic now. A 5-hour ENERGY® shot takes just seconds to take. 5-hour ENERGY® shots come in original, decaf and extra strength.

My thoughts:

It tastes alright!  I’ve had one of these in the past in a berry flavor and I didn’t care for it.  This flavor is light and refreshing.  I think I’d like it better chilled but if you need a boost, this will help!  I will say that this has a tiny bit of an an aftertaste but nothing a sip of water won’t get rid of!

I tend to suffer from an afternoon slump around 2-3 PM when I’m at work.  I took this after a late lunch and then took water with me back to work, while I didn’t feel like I had a caffeine boost – I didn’t get sleepy either!

I’d say that with any product that you eat or drink – its hit and miss.  While I didn’t care for the berry flavor I had before, this one was alright.  I also think it comes down to personal preferences.

Bottom Line – I’m all for an extra boost of energy during a crazy day!  While these flavors are hit and miss for me personally – this one is worth trying!  PLUS – a portion of every bottle sold is donated back to LBBC.

Have you tried these drinks?  Do you support things like this or would you rather just donate direct to a person or charity?

Thanks for stopping by Gracious Luck today!

    I’ve never tried their products before. I’m always afraid they’ll taste to much like vitamins lol I might give this flavor a go, though. Also, I mostly just do a direct donation to charities.

    I also received the 5 Hour Energy Pink Lemonade for free from Smiley 360 so I can have the chance to test it out and provide my review. After testing it out, I really liked the flavor shot and it made me feel super energized after taking it. I mixed it with sugar free sprite and it was delicious. I needed it after spending all morning with my toddler twins and it definitely helped me get through the rest of the day. I felt energized for hours an no jitters like you would normally get after having a super strong coffee or Redbull. I dont think I would have made it through my super long day with my twins if I hadnt taken the 5 hour energy. I cant wait to buy more flavors to try out. I also love that 5 hour energy teamed up with Living Beyond Breast Cancer Organization. They help to support and educate people about breast cancer. Whats even more cool, is that from now until December 31, 2014, The organization will donate five cents from the sale of every specially marked 5 Hour Energy Pink Lemonade to living Beyond Breast Cancer. This is definitely awesome!
