Avon Elements Moisture Boost Oil Free Moisturizer {review}

Hello Loves!  So I’m an Avon rep and I’ve loved exploring the brand to find products that work for me, my friends, and my family.  When I come across something that I really like I want to share with you my thoughts on it.

Today’s review is:
Avon Elements Moisture Boost Daily Moisture Cream Broad Spectrum SPF 15 Oil-Free  $8.99
Product Description:

Oil-Free for Combination Skin.
Formulated with Camellia Tea Leaf. Targets oily and dry areas so skin stays in perfect balance. Suitable for sensitive skin. Hypoallergenic.
Skin looks balanced…cheeks feel nourished, T-zone looks shine-free. 1.7 fl. oz.

My thoughts:
I wanted to try this because I have combination oily/dry skin.  Recently I reviewed a great moisturizer from StriVectin but it was still a really heavy product and I was getting breakouts on my forehead.  (The bumps disappeared once I quit using the product on a daily basis.)  It seems that about 95% of the time when I use a moisturizer with any SPF – they make me oily by lunch or cause me to break out.  They always seem really heavy to me, especially to try and wear under makeup.  Until now.

I love that this is a gel product instead of a cream or lotion.  My holy grail moisturizer is Clinique’s Dramatically Different Gel – and this is right up there in quality and effectiveness.  (The major problem with my Clinique moisturizer is that it doesn’t have an spf.)  I’ve been using this daily for about 2 and a half weeks and love it.  It absorbs really fast for me and leaves my skin feeling soft and moisturized without that greasy sunscreen feeling.  There is a very slight clean scent but I only notice it if I smell the product in the jar so I’m okay with a faint scent.

As far as packing goes – you know that I hate products in jars but I’m overlooking it because I like this that well!  A little dab will do and I have hardly made a dent in the jar!

Bottom Line:
Try it!  If you have combo skin and struggle to find a moisturizer that is going to leave you moisturized, not greasy, AND has SPF…this is a really great product.  Plus – its at a fantastic price.  I’m  not afraid to spend more on skincare – I’m still a Clinique girl and use it as my nightly moisturizer but this has been a staple in my daily routine and my skin is loving it.

Do you have combo skin?  Whats your favorite moisturizer with SPF?

Thanks for stopping by Gracious Luck today!

Oh totally get what you’re saying about one is too light – the other too heavy. Its a struggle. This one is a nice mix for my skin and it hasn’t freaked out so I’m keeping it in my rotation. The StriVectin was just too heavy for me.

This looks like a great moisturizer! I also have combination/sensitive skin and I’m always looking for something will keep my skin hydrated and with SPF.

You might want to check this one out – I was surprised at how well it works for me. My skin is also sensitive to some fragrances in skincare so I feel your pain! 🙂

Its pretty great – and I’m kind of a skincare snob. Trying avon skincare was hard – I had to break away from my favorites from boscia & clinique but I was pleasantly surprised!

Ahh bummer! My skin turns to a grease pit if I try anything geared towards dry skin so it makes my hunt hard when I get dry patches and oily patches at the same time! 🙂
