Hi Loves! After coming off the long weekend – I need to be honest about a couple things. First – I walked over 10,000 steps the first 6 days of September! That was awesome. I am still giving myself one day off a week and chose to use that on Monday instead of Sunday (9/6). My daily average just jumped to over 10,000! YAY!
Second – I gained those pesky 2 pounds back. Damnit! Its okay – I gained them in a weekend, I “should” be able to lose them in a few days. Its a balance and to be honest – I love to over indulge way too much some times. Its hard to find a balance between eating things you love AND staying healthy. This is a struggle that I will probably always face. I can also say that my water intake dropped over the weekend and I was drinking more soda – another personal issue. I can’t blame anyone but myself but it seems when I drink more water its easier for me to avoid tempting foods. Next time I’m away for a couple days – my goal will be to drink more water and less soda.
I’m working on a goal to get 10,000 steps a day for 26 of the 30 days in September. So far I’m on track to hit that and (typically) take Sundays off. I’m curious to see if I notice any changes. I’m also picking up a new yoga challenge Sept 14 – I’ll fill you in about that next week.
Lastly – food. Its a struggle (see above) but I’m going to look at a clean eating challenge for 10 days. Since I’m a newbie, my goal will be one clean meal a day for 10 days. Can I do it? Who knows… I’ll also keep you posted on that!
