Hi Loves! Progress is progress right?! Last night I wanted to reach my goal of 7000 steps, but I thought, I’ll watch the end of whatever is on tv while I walk. Then I hit 7700 and I thought hmm… a bit longer and I’ll hit 8000, then 8500, and I finally stopped last night at 9000. Just a few more steps I kept thinking… and I did it before I knew it.
However, I have to confess. Sunday evening I had a neck ache. Thanks to an accident a few years ago and whiplash combined with a lot of computer work leaves me with a neck ache that makes me nauseous. I can’t really explain it other than I’m just nauseous and physically exhausted. 😦 Its not fun. So Sunday for the first time in 3 weeks I did not get 7000 steps. I just could not get myself to walk 20 more minutes or so to cross the mark. I did get 5631 though. That was also part of my motivation for hitting over 8000 last night.
I’ve worked the past week on cleaning up my eating. Granted, I experimented with making my own chicken quesadillas (YUM btw) Saturday and I had Mexican lunch out Sunday afternoon so I wasn’t super strict but still kept some things in check. I also did a glorious stretching yoga practice. It wasn’t intense, it was lovely and wonderful. Since I’ve been focusing on my steps, I thought a more of restorative yoga practice would be nice.

- I walked 53,668 steps
- I walked 23.01 miles
- I LOST 2 POUNDS!! (finally!!)
- Did one yoga practice (goal was 2)

- Walk 7000+ steps a day
- Eat smart
- Get 2 days of yoga in
This week I’ll also be heading back home to help cook for a celebration that is every year. I’m hoping I can maintain my weight – its easy to get distracted by delicious foods and I have no self control! Until next week loves, have a wonderful week. – xo –
