Hi Loves! Tomorrow – is today actually. Yesterday was my birthday. Today is my second day of being 33. 33?! Why is it typing that for the first few days seems odd? I’m not old I swear! 🙂
I was looking for a quote for this week’s post and this one seemed fitting. Last week was an adventure for me. I took on working out for 5 of 7 days. I took Sunday and Monday (my birthday) off working out. However- I did get in at least 20-30 minutes a day of exercise and I’m still holding my own at my 30 day challenge.
I took a step towards getting back in to the exercise habit. A few years ago I bought a few dvd’s. They’d been gathering dust. I figured, now is the time to get back to moving again, even just to dust them off! 🙂 When I started this journey – I was focused on yoga pretty hard core. However, I felt the desire to try my walking workouts again. So thats what I did all week. I think in the near future I’ll work towards integrating yoga back in a day or two a week just to stretch and uncrunch. This has certainly been a journey.
Since my birthday last year – I’ve lost family members. I’ve gained some weight, I’ve lost some weight (thank god, all staying within a 10 pound range). I’ve met amazing people, and realized a few things. Without getting all mushy – lets just stay that I think this week’s quote is pretty spot on. Yesterday a new year – a new chapter opened in my book. How will I fill the pages? How will I feel? What do I want to accomplish this year?
If I learned anything at all this year – its that we don’t know how much time we have. Tell your loved ones (friends or family) how important they are to you. Set a goal to squash. Plan something to look forward to. Lastly – know that things always seem to work out in the end. Ok… confession – I’m still working on that myself. I’d like to think that everything will come together in the end.
In true GL Gets Fit fashion. I must say that I gained a pound this week. But screw it, it was my birthday, I had a wonderful weekend and birthday dinner last night. Friday I’m going to a concert, and Saturday a wine tasting. Then my birthday week of festivities will come to an end. Until next year that is.
See you all next week! 🙂
