Hi Loves! I’ve partnered with one of my natural skin care brands again to bring you another product of theirs. This is the Pure Glow Brightening Moisturizer. I’ve loved trying their products in the past and when they asked if I’d be interested in this – you know I had to try it!
First some basics about this product.
Packed with brightening power, this moisturizer helps to lighten pigmentation marks and enhance the radiance of your overall complexion. With energizing antioxidants like Ginseng and Kojic Acid to control melanin production, dark spots are faded and collagen production is enhanced, revealing firmer more even skin. Skin moisture is replenished and protected with Botanical Hyaluronic Acid, Safflower and Shea Butter. Tired and dull looking skin is restored to unveil a healthier, more vibrant glow!
– Provides all-day hydration
– Instantly restore radiance
– Tight skin feels nourished
– Lightens dark spots
– Evens skin tone
– Diminishes fine lines
It comes in a heavy glass bottle that should last around 4-6 months depending on how much you use.
My thoughts on it:
I’m always skeptical of moisturizers because my combination skin can react poorly to some. When I read about this it said it was great for all skin types, so I decided to test that out. I can say that I’m not super oily using it, and it’s not making me break out. It does however seem to leave a “dewy” or glowing finish instead of drying down like some moisturizers. Duh – it has glow in the name but if you’ve never tried one of these, it’s true. It also stays a bit tacky but when I put foundation on it worked just fine. To test the glow theory, I tried this after a late night and my skin looked pretty bright and helped me feel like I appeared more awake the following day!
It also is a generous size, 4 ounces will last for a long time and I only use about 2 pumps per day. It is a great value at $25.00.
I’ve been using this for a couple weeks and the only real negative is that there isn’t SPF in it. I like my daytime moisturizer and foundation to have an SPF but that’s more of a personal preference. At the end of the day – I might get a bit oily in my t-zone but a lot of products have that effect on me. Its not a true deal breaker since in the fall and winter my normal/oily skin tends to turn more dry/oily.
I don’t think I’ve been using it long enough to see any serious improvements like they claim – but the short term claims are totally true for me!
Bottom Line: I like this. I’ll continue using it, however the SPF is a bit of a deal breaker for me so I may go back to a moisturizer that does have it. I’m a bit lazy with skincare and one less step for me is preferred instead of doing a separate layer of sunscreen daily. If you’re looking for a brightening product that moisturizes and helps your skin, this is pretty good and a decent price.
Thank you Valentia for allowing me to try this out! *Disclaimer – I did not purchase this, it was sent to me for review and the opinions are honest and my own.*
