Get started today! <a class="pintag searchlink" data-query="%23bodyweightworkouts" data-type="hashtag" href="/search/?q=%23bodyweightworkouts&rs=hashtag" rel="nofollow" title="#bodyweightworkouts search Pinterest">#bodyweightworkouts</a> <a class="pintag" href="/explore/workouts/" title="#workouts explore Pinterest">#workouts</a> <a class="pintag" href="/explore/fitnessprogram/" title="#fitnessprogram explore Pinterest">#fitnessprogram</a>Hi Loves!  This past week has left me wearing my trusty new ankle braces every day.  Even on the weekend!  The highlight was Sunday morning  when the swelling in one ankle was almost gone.  Granted, at the end of the day there is still a little swelling but I’ll take this as a sign of progress!

The muscles and tendons around my ankles are still really tight – they feel like gristle but I’m focusing on stretching them several times daily and find walking not nearly as painful or awkward as I did a week ago.  I’m sure the soreness will be around for a while but I’m taking things one step at a time.

While I didn’t work out in the past week I got a bit more movement in and for the first time in October – I lost 2 pounds.  I was really getting sick of seeing the scale hover around two tenths of a pound!  It was a wonderful feeling this morning – I had to do it 3 times just to be sure! 🙂

That said – I’m setting a goal to get 3 days of yoga in this week.  This summer I kicked up my walking workouts and that might have helped contribute to this ankle mess I’m in.  (I did most of my walking workouts barefoot, guess I’m not in that good of shape yet!)   Yoga is gentle and focused more on stretching which might be just what I need right now.
