GL Gets Fit #128 {lizard love}

Motivate yourself each and every day: Hi Loves!  I thought this quote was perfect. It reminded me of a conversation I had last week with one of my best friends.  We were talking about weight gains and losses and how its not necessarily a number that we’re after.  For various reasons, our end goal is just to feel good.  Period.

I think that’s what I’ve grown to love in this journey.  If you go back to the early posts.  I was easily frustrated at that number I would see every Tuesday morning.  In fact, it was so frustrating that I’d almost get depressed thinking about all the wrong things I’m doing.

I can tell you that I’m not close to where I want to be but I’m farther than when I started this journey.  Weight fluctuates.  Duh.  But there’s so much more to it.  There’s just feeling better all around, fitting into clothes better, seeing definition in arms and legs that weren’t there, etc.  Yoga is definitely bringing me some more definition in my arms and legs.  I’m a bigger girl – I probably always will be, but if I have big or as someone called it – “thick” arms and legs they might as well be as muscular as they can be!

Confession – I did miss two days of yoga this week.  One was that I was out of town late, and one was that I was just being lazy.  No other excuse.  So far in 16 days – I’ve only missed 3 total.  This week – I was reminded that I really like lizards.  The pose.  Not so much the reptile! 🙂  Here’s a graphic that is similar to how I do lizard.  It feels great in the hips.  For an office girl – it really gets into spots that I need to stretch.
