Hi Loves! I’m finally feeling better. Well, I can breathe and I’m coughing less, so I’m going to take that as a win! I think the sickness still lingers a little but day by day – it’s getting better.
I also know I’m feeling better when I want to eat. When I was sick last week, I slept a lot and ate less. This week, I ate. I indulged but its ok. Life is a balance.
On Sundays I lay out the following week. Look at my planner, make notes, write in appointments and reminds, etc. I sent an intention to do yoga 3 times this week. Last night I did the first one. Since it’s been months (gasp) since yoga – I took it back to the beginning. I did a beginner practice to get familiar with some basics again and not push myself too hard. It was a rough 40 minutes with sweat, wobbling, and angry muscles but it was worth it. Each practice ends with savasana – basically laying flat and not moving. I felt relaxed, energized, and ready to take on what is in front of me.
I need to get back into shape. The past 6-8 months were full of stress and planning and stress eating. Now, I’m on the downhill side of that and it’s time to take care of myself again. Time to get back to a better place both mentally and physically. That said, I gained a couple pounds. It’s ok, just need to learn a bit more self-control and pace myself around my weaknesses like sweets! 🙂
Fingers crossed, I’m able to get 3 yoga practices in this week. It’s my mind that I need to convince, once I get into yoga, my body loves it.
