Weekend Mani ~ Sea-green? { Now You Sea Me }

IMG_20140323_100147_992-1Hi Loves!  I hope you all had a wonderful weekend.  I was going through my stash looking for another spring or pastel color and came across this one.  It reminds me of a blue/green/gray blend…maybe a light teal color?

This is L’Oreal #530 in – now you sea me.  I also used Sally Hansen Xtreme wear #200 Strobe Light on my accent nail for a little sparkle!  I thought the coppery tones and iridescent glitter was a nice pairing with this polish.

Target Clearance L’Oreal Eye Quads

Hi Loves!  Today is a quick post/clearance haul.  I randomly scour websites like Target for clearance  makeup products.  I found these two quads, unfortunately only one is still available online but you might be able to find them in stores. I picked up the Color Riche Quads in #827 Sophisticated Angel and #560 Shopping Spree (still available!)   – both are fairly pigmented and super soft.   Continue reading

Weekend Mani ~Gray & Silver

IMG_20131031_104738_246

This week’s manicure is featuring a dark color that I love in the fall and another shatter nail in silver.  I’m late jumping on the shatter nail polish band wagon but I am in love with them!  The dark gray color is by L’Oreal in #570 Stroke of Midnight.  I really like the L’Oreal polishes and they last just as long as my OPI polish.

Quick Look – Another Purple Look!

PicsArt_1381680082928

This look is using one of my favorite eye shadow colors – Purple!  I love the way it looks with brown eyes.  I had discovered a shadow that I had never used.  Its a deep purple/plum color from Victoria’s Secret.  Its VS Luminous Eye Shadow in Divine.  I started with putting this over my lid. Next I took the L’Oreal #527 Sultry Seductress from the Colour Riche line and put the top taupe color into my crease and the champagne color along my brow bone.   I used the purple from the quad as eye liner and also put it along my bottom lashes and then topped it with some of the taupe to add more of a metallic effect.  Last – I finished it with mascara from Benefit’s They’re Real.

I really like how this one turned out and think it would be fun for a holiday party or even Halloween party.

Have a great day and thank you for stopping by Gracious Luck!

Fall Nails ~ Brown & Gold w/ Silver Glitter

IMG_20131015_194639_544

My weekend mani suffered a set back yesterday (Monday) my pointer finger nail had a couple of big chips in it.  It was driving me crazy.  Instead of re-doing that nail or taking off all of my other nails that were still fine, I decided to do an accent nail.  While organizing my nail polish stash over the weekend – I found this gold color that I’ve never used before and liked the idea of how it would pair with the dark brown.  Then added the silver chunky glitter top coat for a little extra sparkle!

Here’s what I used:

  • Brown: Sally Hansen Lacquer Shine in #08 Glossy
  • Gold: L’Oreal #580 – because you’re worth it
  • Silver Glitter: Sephora by OPI Jewlery Top Coat in Flurry Up

Quick Look ~ Work Appropriate Eyes {tans}

PicsArt_1373934658918

Today I wanted to share a quick post about a another favorite eye shadow quad that I am loving!  This is usually my go to for work – something simple but yet polished.  This look is from L’Oreal’s Colour Riche Line – New Essentials in #841 Because I Am Worth It.

I love the quality of these colors, you can keep them more shear or build it up for a slightly more dramatic look.

I started off with an eyeshadow primer (still working on using up VS Pro Primer).  And then swept the top shade across the lid, took the second color down for highlighting my brow bone, used the third color in the crease, and then used a damp liner brush and the bottom for a quick eyeliner.  Last I topped it off with Maybelline The Rocket mascara.

The eyeliner blends a little too well into the other shades so I might suggest using another liner instead if you want a truly lined eye but would look great with a chocolate brown eyeliner.

Have a great day & Thanks for stopping by Gracious Luck!
