Weekend Mani ~ Zoya Blaze

PicsArt_1391610077629Hi Lovelies!  I realize its Wednesday and I forgot to upload my weekend mani! I was taking a break to let my nails recover after using Julep’s Oxygen treatment and also the dry, cold winter air.  I picked up 3 zoya’s a while back when they had a 3 free special where you just paid shipping.  I also grabbed Payton and Belinda who will be making an appearance soon!

Here’s how Zoya describes this stunning color:Zoya Blaze is so hard to photograph but I included my pic and an swatch image from their website.  The bottle color is exactly what it looks like on my nails and I love it.  Actually I can’t stop staring at them! Continue reading

This Week’s Mani { Julep ~ Nellie }

This week’s manicure is a bright and happy pink to get me through a bitterly cold week.  Julep describes this as: Pink fuschia crème.  I used it as an add on with another purchase and picked it up for $3.99 with free shipping.

I also topped it with the Julep Freedom Top Coat – which is amazing to me!  It leaves such a bright, shiny, and almost gel like finish.

At the end of the week there was some tip-wear but nothing more than any other polish I wear. Continue reading

Julep Mighty Nail & Cuticle Serum {review}

PicsArt_1388939266367I mentioned in my last post (New Years Mani) that I tried my first Julep box.  In that I got two polishes and a tube of the Julep Mighty Nail & Cuticle Serum for $3.99!  In the past month or so, my nails have become parched.  I have hang nails, chipped and splitting nails, and nails that break really easily.  This has never been a problem for me, actually, I’ve always had pretty great nails but obviously something was changing.  I credit part of my problem to using pure acetone to clean up around my nails for the past few months and not using a cuticle cream or oil.  Pure acetone is known to cause dryness but I didn’t think to mess with it until it was WAY too late!

I’ve been on a quest to start repairing my nails & cuticles.  This felt like the perfect time to try out Julep’s Mighty Serum. Continue reading

New Years Manicure! Julep Michelle

I’ve never gotten into subscription boxes but was tempted for the last time by Julep.  I finally caved on the free box offer and just paid $3.99 for two polishes and their mighty nail & cuticle serum.  This is the first one I’m trying out (3295-Michelle).  It is a creme formula in Navy.  I couldn’t believe how easy and smooth it was to apply and this is only one coat!!!   I haven’t decided if I’ll keep or cancel this subscription yet – I don’t normally buy nail polish every month and already have a box full that I use or attempt to use!  Right now – I’m leaning towards cancelling the subscription.
